About the Role
The Commercial Operator is responsible for the day-to-day execution of voyages, ensuring all commercial obligations are met.
This role requires excellent communication and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Issue voyage instructions to vessels.
- Coordinate with port agents, charterers, and brokers.
- Monitor vessel performance against charter party warranties.
- Handle laytime calculations and freight/demurrage invoicing.
- Procure bunkers in coordination with the purchasing team.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in ship operations or a commercial shipping role.
- Understanding of charter party terms and laytime calculations.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations and resolve operational issues promptly.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Maritime Studies, Shipping, Business, or related field.
- Proficiency in shipping software and MS Office.
