About the Role

As a Technical Superintendent, you will oversee the technical management of assigned vessels, ensuring they operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all regulations.

You will be the primary point of contact for the vessel’s command on all technical matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage the technical performance and condition of assigned vessels.
  • Plan, prepare, and manage dry-dockings and major repairs.
  • Prepare and monitor technical budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations.
  • Conduct regular vessel inspections and audits.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to shipboard staff.

Requirements

  • Previous experience sailing as Chief Engineer, OR minimum 3 years ashore as a Technical Superintendent.
  • Strong knowledge of international maritime regulations (Class, Flag State, IMO).
  • Excellent project management and budgeting skills.
  • Ability to travel internationally at short notice.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or equivalent Class 1 Certificate of Competency.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).
