About the Role
The Chief Engineer holds overall responsibility for the engine room and all technical operations onboard.
You will lead the engineering team and work closely with the Master to ensure safe voyages.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the engine department personnel.
- Oversee all planned maintenance and defect rectification.
- Ensure compliance with all environmental and safety regulations (MARPOL, ISM).
- Monitor fuel consumption and optimize machinery performance.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience as Chief Engineer on Bulk Carriers.
- Strong leadership and crisis management skills.
- Excellent track record of safety and compliance.
Qualifications / Certificates
- Valid Certificate of Competency as Chief Engineer (Unlimited).
- Valid STCW certificates.
